Occupational Hygiene Measurement, Test and Analysis (OHS) Measurements

We carry out all measurements, sampling and analyzes as authorized by TÜRKAK and İSGÜM. Measurement, sampling and analysis as a whole are performed in accordance with standards and regulations. Reporting is done in the report formats of 'Çınar Environment Laboratory' in line with İSGÜM's recommendations. The solution of all the problems caused by us in measurement, sampling and analysis belongs to us.

MEASUREMENT, SAMPLING and ANALYSIS;

  • Heavy Metal: Personal and ambient heavy metal measurements are based on ASTM D 7439 – 08 standard. ICP/MS device is used for heavy metal screening in dust sampled to the filter. The result obtained is evaluated by using the 'Regulation on Combating Dust' dated 05.11.2013 and numbered 28812.

  • Dust : Total and respirable dust measurement is based on the MDHS 14/3 standard. With this standard, ambient and exposure dust measurements in the working area, sampling of total and respirable dust particles and gravimetric analysis are performed. The result obtained is evaluated by using the 'Regulation on Combating Dust' dated 05.11.2013 and numbered 28812.

  • Determination of Suspension (Aerosol): TS 2361 standard is used in determining the amount of substance suspended in air. It is the determination of the amount of aerosols that have a very small settling speed due to their diameters of less than a few micrometers, after passing a certain air over the filter paper, on the filter. In the evaluation, the 'Regulation on Combating Dust' dated 05.11.2013 and numbered 28812 is used.

  • Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs): Volatile organic compounds in the working environment are determined by using GC/MS device in the laboratory after sampling the vapors with activated carbon tubes. In the evaluation, the 'Regulation on Health and Safety Precautions in Working with Chemicals' dated 12.08.2013 and numbered 28733 is used.

  • Noise: Ambient and exposure noise are measured as described by TS EN ISO 9612 and TS ISO 2607 ISO 1999 standards and numbered 28721, dated 28.07.2013, "MANAGEMENT ON THE PROTECTION OF EMPLOYEE FROM NOISE RELATED RISKS" It has been a guide in assessment for security professionals.

  • Vibration: The TS EN 1032 + A1 standard is used for vibration measurements. While the vibration measurement that people are exposed to, manually transmitted and transmitted from hand to body, is made according to TS EN ISO 5349-1 and TS EN ISO 5349-2 standards, in the vibration measurements of the whole body that people are exposed to in the workplace TS ISO The 2631-1 standard is used. Evaluation is made with the ''Regulation on Protection of Employees from Vibration-Related Risks''.

  • Silica (SiO2): The NIOSH Method 7601 standard was taken as a basis for measurements and analyzes, and the 'Dust Control Regulation' dated 05.11.2013 and numbered 28812 is accepted as a guide in the evaluation of silica measurement results.

  • Ammonia (NH3): Ammonia measurement in ambient air is performed with our low flow rate devices in accordance with NIOSH 6015 standard. From the sampling stage to the analysis of the sample in the laboratory, all processes are carried out as a whole in accordance with the standards. In the evaluation, the 'Regulation on Health and Safety Precautions in Working with Chemicals' dated 12.08.2013 and numbered 28733 is used.

  • Formaldehyde: Formaldehyde measurement in the working environment is done according to the NIOSH 3500 standard. After sampling, analysis is performed with a spectrophotometer device. The result is reported after the temperature pressure correction at the time of sampling has been made. In the evaluation, the 'Regulation on Health and Safety Precautions in Working with Chemicals' dated 12.08.2013 and numbered 28733 is used.

  • Hydrogen Cyanide (HCN): Cyanide is a dangerous substance as it is known. In Hydrogen Cyanide sampling, the suspected area is reached with extension apparatus. The 'Regulation on Health and Safety Precautions in Working with Chemicals' dated 12.08.2013 and numbered 28733 is used to evaluate the results as a result of the measurements and analyzes carried out with the help of the NIOSH 6010 standard.

  • Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S): NIOSH Method 6013 standard is used in hydrogen sulfide sampling. The hydrogen sulfide sampled into the absorber is reported after analysis in the laboratory. In the evaluation, the 'Regulation on Health and Safety Precautions in Working with Chemicals' dated 12.08.2013 and numbered 28733 is used.

  • Chromium +6 (Cr⁺⁶): Sampling and analysis is performed in accordance with NIOSH 7703 standard. Reporting is done according to the report formats we have prepared in line with the recommendations of İSGÜM. In the evaluation, the 'Regulation on Health and Safety Precautions in Working with Chemicals' dated 12.08.2013 and numbered 28733 is used.

  • Inorganic Acids: Inorganic acids are made according to NIOSH Method 7903 standard. Different coefficients specified in the NIOSH Method 7903 standard are used for each acid sampled (HCl, HF, HBr, HNO₃, H₂SO₄, H₃PO₄). In the evaluation, the 'Regulation on Health and Safety Precautions in Working with Chemicals' dated 12.08.2013 and numbered 28733 is used.

  • Detector Tubes: In ambient gas measurements with detector tubes, it is determined by the color change effect of the gas in the ambient air on the tube with a pump according to ASTM D 4490 standard. This method gives instant results and allows us to see the gases in the working environment. In the evaluation, the 'Regulation on Health and Safety Precautions in Working with Chemicals' dated 12.08.2013 and numbered 28733 is used.

  • Lighting/Light Intensity: The lighting required in the working environment, at the entrance and exit of the facility, walkways and stairs is evaluated according to TS EN 12464-1 in indoor and outdoor environments, while TS EN 12464-2 is used in outdoor environments. Measurements are made according to a Canadian standard, COHSR-928-IPG-039. In the evaluation, the 'Regulation on Health and Safety Measures to be Taken in Workplace Buildings and Attachments' dated 17.07.2013 and numbered 28710 is used.

  • Thermal Comfort: It is important for the employees to be comfortable and comfortable in the area where they are working in terms of working efficiency. This measurement, in which temperature, pressure, humidity and airflow are evaluated together, is carried out in accordance with TS EN 27243 and TS EN ISO 7730 standards. In the evaluation, the 'Regulation on Health and Safety Measures to be Taken in Workplace Buildings and Attachments' dated 17.07.2013 and numbered 28710 is used.

  • Asbestos: Asbestos screening in the workplace is done in accordance with the NIOSH 7400 standard. Asbestos in the working environment is sampled and counted with a phase contrast microscope. Evaluation is made by taking the 'Regulation on Health and Safety Precautions in Working with Asbestos' dated 25.01 2013 and numbered 28539 as a guide.

  • Radiation: Using TAEK's informative trainings and publications in radiation measurements. In the evaluation, the Radiation Safety Regulation dated 24.03.2000 and numbered 23999, the Radiation Safety Regulation dated 07.09.1985 and numbered 18861, the Regulation on the Precautions to be Taken for the Protection of Environment and Public Health from the Negative Effects of Non-Ionizing Radiation dated 24.07.2010 and numbered 27651 are used.
