ESKISEHIR NOISE ACTION PLAN WORKSHOP HELD ON OCTOBER 22, 2019

At the Eskişehir Noise Action Plan Workshop held on October 22, 2019, the quiet areas and potential noisy areas determined as a result of the studies and evaluations within the scope of the project were presented.

Based on the "Strategic Noise Map Project" prepared by TÜBİTAK Marmara Research Center (MAM) in 2015, Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality and Çınar Environmental Laboratory, "Noise Action Plan" preparation studies were started in August 2019.

Noise reduction modeling approaches for noisy areas were compared with current noise measurement results and traffic intersection count data. Accordingly, the roads in the noise management areas were revised to reflect the actual levels. Within the scope of the workshop, the reduction scenarios related to noise management areas were presented to the representatives of other public institutions and organizations and their opinions were asked.

After the workshop outputs and general evaluations are made, the Eskişehir Noise Action Plan project is completed and the said action plan is carried out in coordination with stakeholder institutions for a peaceful and quiet city life .
